Rugby is a high impact sport and, without question, most new injuries are a direct result of a specific trauma.

Recurrent injuries typically occur when the body has not made a full recovery before being exposed to the stresses and impact that caused the initial injury. The right course of treatment will be key to getting you back on the pitch as soon as possible.

Preventing injury in the first place is by far the best form of treatment. Building the correct muscular lengthening and strengthening exercises into your training schedule from the outset is key to preventing injury. A preventative care programme will identify areas of weakness or misalignment and work to correct these, significantly increasing your chances of training and playing without injury.
